>>So when I sniff around at the smell from the center and smell endless rants against the situational ethics, I will be aware that liberals NEVER (as in DO NOT) "accuse" conservatives of situational ethics. The anger and hostility is actually directed at particular choices (not that they are "accusing" them of choices, you understand. After all, there is a philosophical necessity to acknowledge choices if we are to consider questions of free will and if we are to presume accountability as flowing from responsibility). It would be impossible to ethically "accuse" anyone of anything without acknowledging certain axiomatic premises.<<

Solon -

Just for the record I never said that I never accuse anyone of anything. I have accused the Bush Administration and its supporters of a few things in my posts. Moreover I didn't use the word "never" to apply to all liberals either, for whom I don't speak in any case, and I admitted that I had overgeneralized.

In fact, I do accuse the Bush Administration and its supporters of making really poor, dangerous choices. Absolutely. This isn't the first time I've said that.

I am glad you finally saw the point that "accusing" and "mentioning" or "pointing out" are not the same thing.
