An observation about when earnings get announced----------I have been observing whether the stocks I follow have earnings announced pre-market or after market and how they do the day of the announcement and the next day.

Thus far, it appears that those announcing pre-market are more likely to have good news.

Those after the market closes have often not been favorable unless there is a major event with the company affecting its future i.e. a merger, spinoff

If the news is good pre-market, I am finding that the stock will often move on the good news and present a selling opportunity that day and maybe the next day-----if I already have the stock.

No idea whether this is valid or not.
