No I didn't. Focusing on a specific issue, isn't the same as ignoring the context of that issue.

I would include past statements from Kerry about other soldiers to be part of the context.

If you are determined that "stuck in Iraq" and a wrong policy are totally and irrevocably isolated and separate ideas,

Having our country stuck in a war in Iraq, or anywhere else isn't a totally and irrevocably isolated and separate idea from "wrong policy", but Kerry's comment, the comment he actually made (not perhaps the one he intended to make) doesn't logically apply to the war or the policies behind it.
