I did a quick google to see if Bush ever admitted mistakes.

His opponents seem to think that virtually everything he's done as President is a mistake, so I hardly think he could say anything to satisfy such critics.

Kerry had an easy task, which he *botched* and I don't mean a joke. He could have fixed his public relations nightmare
very quickly, but chose not to. If you harken back to what prompted my original comments, you'll see the reference to
the manner in which the Allen gaffes were covered by the media. That's probably a better comparison.
