His dad is MIA. Their divorced so its just his mother. The problem is that I'm sure my son hasn't been perfect! It generally takes two so its hard to make waves and I'd rather not. I can already see the outcome....this kid got away with hitting Nicholas once so he'll probably do it again. I'm not really sure where my son's line in the sand is but like anyone he will eventually tire of the situation and clock the kid. I talked with his teacher and principal so everyone is aware of the situation.

I hesitate to say this but here goes

I don't want Nicholas to be fighting in second grade. But I'm a little old school on the topic. You're a guy - I think you'll be able to relate to this - I don't think its always a bad thing for boys to have it out. One of my best friends is a guy I never liked and we got into it so I pounded on him for a while. Nobody really got hurt, it cooled off the tension of the situation and we became friends. He's a cocky guy and loves to give me sh!t. So almost every time I tell him if he keeps gettin' lippy I'll have to come down and give him a refresher course in respect LOL. I know women don't get it....I'm not sure I do either....but spats are part of the male experience while growing up
