All Russert did was to be the only MSM journalist to confront Kerry about his promise to publicly release all of his military records. I believe Russert did this on 2 occasions (once before the 2004 election & once after). Both times Kerry lied & obfuscated his response & to date he has yet to release them. The main reason he won't is that his original discharge most likely was less than honorable & he got it upgraded "during the Carter administration, when less than honorable discharges were allowed to be upgraded". I can probably find a few links to those stories if you wish.
