Vernon: Our sector selection model has worked well. We enter the market when ALL components of a selected sector reach an oversold level, and average down from there. The selection of the sector, however, is based on fundamental analysis. In our opinion, waiting for the confirmation of a uptrend is often too late. We usually liquidate ALL components of the portfolio at the same time, especially when ALL or a majority of the components have confirmed uptrend. The precise timing in liquidation is based on a trailing % stop loss of the portfolio as a whole. pcyhuang
