well since the market had only just recovered from the Liberal attempt, we are now faced with the Conservative foolishness. This could have been discussed but wasn't, and hopefully those seniors who can afford to will take the losses, and wipe out any taxes they might have had to pay to the government for the next couple of years. The Government did not mention that Citizens paid taxes on the money they got from Income trusts and the theory that no taxes were paid is simply a lie. No one is explaining where the government is on any of the important issues like Caledonia, no one is suggesting that things on the reserves have been improved, Harper has failed to take up the hard tasks in favour of doing as little as possible except whine that his agenda is stalled.Harper is starting to look less capable than Martin, something I would not have thought possible. And I voted for harper, in what may well be my last visit to the polls.

HUGE benefit to seniors. Yep I heard about that but it does not take into account that right here and now many of those same seniors have just been made a lot poorer by a reckless amateurish act. The news today is reporting Flaherty took 3 weeks of brainstorming to come up with his 'plan'. Three weeks ?????? Sounds like he only got to work on it the night before right before bedtime...

Shades of the gang that couldn't shoot straight.. (Harris Tories) Flaherty's first stop as Finance minister...
