Yeah, Patch, it's really easily to call someone an idiot when you invent weak arguments for the other side that nobody is actually making.

Nobody's said naked shorting "doesn't exist", or even that it's 100% confined to PIPE deals. That's a far cry from taking issue with the wild stands you take, such as that it was naked shorting, and not freaking Hurricane Katrina that was primarily responsible for Hibernia shares taking an unfortunately-timed valuation hit.

You and Floyd and the other nitwits here claim these abuses do not exist or that they are not illegal.

NO. WE. DO. NOT.

Management is not immune from blame but the majority of the blame - no way.

And I never said majority, you ass. Can't you ever get anything right?

BTW PATCHIE, DONNER CORP A/K/A NATIONAL CAPITAL SECURITIES. BRENT BAKER HAD ALL THE INFO ON DONNER SO YOU WILL HAVE TO ASK HIM WHY THE SEC DID NOTHING:

The results of the past few months have been gratifying. Only 17 days after the Sept. 30 SEC action--which Salomon Grey, in papers filed with the SEC, has denounced as "frivolous"--the NASD brought action against a firm called National Capital Securities, which was the focus of an extensive investigation by Schneider. The NASD maintained that National Capital provided fraudulent research reports online. The NASD, citing longstanding policy, won't comment on whether information supplied by investors played a role. A person who answered the phone at National Capital's parent company said the securities firm was shutting down and that no one was available to comment.
