Oh, really? Have you considered that much depends on who they work for? And, for many of them, especially in their work place, discretion is the better part of valour! That is, keep their traps shut! So, apparent "silence" on their part does not necessarily mean your surmise is correct. Did you know that one academic, a professor of physics at a prominent university in Utah, came up with convincing scientific analysis, but he was swiftly sidelined by his employers! who feared punitive "reprisals" of sorts. I guess your engineers got the message well and good, eh? By all means continue to remain "open-minded". .
