The carrier's mission was accomplished...a carrier deployment is a lengthy stay at sea, as was this one. Their mission was over, was successful, and they came home.

If that was what the sign the carrier crew hung up meant, it is news to them. Perhaps you should send thema a memo. The fact that you choose to promote a false idea is interesting.

Naval personnel go on deployments. The carrier task force was returning from an extended deployment.
