The Kerry camp has put something forward that doesn't pass the smell test.

kerry will put up his 76% grade point average during his four year pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts degree at Yale.

Obviously, he speaks from experience. He did not study hard enough and got sent to Vietnam. ;-)

>>Assuming for a moment it actually was a joke, the joke didn't make any sense. Calling a guy with a degree from Yale and a graduate degree from Harvard uneducated just doesn't make any sense, joke or no joke.<<

Bill -

Did he say "uneducated"? No. He said "if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart".

I've never heard anyone who knew Bush in college say that he "studied hard" or "did his homework". The one person I know who knew him then says that he was a "frat boy" and a "partier". She also says that she liked him then and still finds him likeable.

By the way, even if it wasn't a "fair" joke, would that mean it wasn't possible that Kerry wouldn't be using it? Both Democrats and Republicans have used "unfair" jokes against opponents since forever, basically.

This has to be one of the sickest posts I've seen on SI. Even for AS.

Bush's pastor also snorted meth before gay sex. This is the biggest evangelical Bushie in Colorado, and the most outspoken in support of Bush. Which by the way should mean he loses his tax-free status.

Funny how these rightwing pastors seem to be the biggest pervs around.
