A lot of people vote Democratic habitually out of an historic loyalty that is not deserved. And many buy into a simplistic wrong-headed idea the Republican party is the party of some rich elite.

I was an independent and voted both sides of the ticket for the first half of my voting life. I even voted for Jimmy Carter.

No more. I saw the light. The Republicans have some ideas I disagree with but the democrats have NO ideas I agree with. Nor do they have any attractive candidates.
