I actually have two saws 10" and 6". I bought my first about 1977. I haven't in quite some time, but bought it to saw rough rocks into slabs and make it into jewelry. Another retirement hobby to keep me busy.<G>

You will see similar saws at home centers. To cut tile and other softer material. Many times a silicon carbide blade is used. To cut harder materials, 7 or higher you really need cutting oil and a diamond blade. Quartz and agates mostly. At our previous house. I used the 10 inch to saw concrete pavers to the proper size for the sidewalk I made. Sawed through like butter with diamond.
