Yeah, Bush didn't know this crook. Though an evangelical nutcase himself selling all those faith-based frauds, he just had no time to meet the leader of 30 million evangelicals. Yeah, right.

Haggard is Bush's #1 evangelical ally. He's not as famous as Falwell and Robertson but he's the head of 30 million conservative Christians all of whom get lectured at, preached down to and brainwashed to vote rightwing GOP. This Hagard group is Bush's real base, the one group he could always count on. Haggard and Rove are very close and Haggard has met with and lobbied Bush many-many times. Kind of like Abramoff.

BTW, Bush's other #1 conservative Christian ally Ralph Reed is headed for prison for tasking a 1.5 million bribe from Abramoff's gambling interests.

Falwell looked very distressed yesterday on TV. He lied and claimed he hardly knew Haggard. Same thing Bush said about Ken Lay who was his #1 political ally.
