Lions live in packs. Domestic cats, when provided with a stable source of food and water will also live in groups. Your 'libertarian' cat sticks close to home while the wandering dog will follow his nose to the next state. Try again. People are rightwingers out of fear and hate. It's the ideology of fearing other humans beings and, therefore, hating other humans beings. It's the ideology that says we are different from them and they are untrustworthy because they are different. It's the ideology that says, since these people are untrustworthy and deficient, you can do whatever you want to them. If you've lived a few decades and you've paid attention, it's unconscionable to be anything but a progressive and a liberal.
