I have to confess to voting for Carter too. If you'd have asked me in the '70's, I'd have probably said I was a Democrat. For a long time, I called myself an independent, but now the Democrats are so far offbase they've put themselves out of the running as far as I'm concerned. Which is okay, the party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Reagan is all right with me.

Same here. I almost always split my votes based on whom I felt was going to best represent me. Sure, I have voted for Republicans more often than any other party. However, I have voted for Dem's for President, Governor, Senator & Congress, ET AL.

I voted for Clinton in 1992 & Ross Perot in 1996.

However, with the absolute lunacy from the DNC & MSM since 2000, I will never again vote for a Dem until the Party cleans house & finds some morals & ethics (I actually did that in 2004 & plan to continue doing it). And I mean that they do it in a big way so it's painfully clear they have acknowledged they jumped the shark & went off the reservation.
