Just making shit up out of thin air and pretending it was real, like Mena where Bill was supposed to be running drugs. "The national Democrats are not eager to cut spending anywhere but for defence" Ah yes, truthiness. You don't need facts, just make shit up and pretend they are facts. It isn't all about cuts, although that needs to be done also. Often it is just a question of restraint, to not introduce spending bills that contain earmarks for bridges to nowhere or big tax cuts or grants to energy companies. Or billions spent in Iraq with no oversight resulting in infrastructure repairs that never get completed. That is where the current crop of Republicans fail the worst. Handing out largess to their contributors with out any strings or controls.
