I've gotten liberals to defend Castro, Saddam, and others in the past. Oswald is easy.

Oswald clearly said he didn't shoot anyone and was a patsy. He was marched out in public soon after (a huge security violation) to be shot, killed and silenced. The public never got to hear Oswald's testimony.

In fact, it is highly likely Oswald was telling the truth, that he was set up and framed instead of the professional assasins who did the deed. The Zupruder film clearly shows JFK hit by two shots within two seconds. An amateur marksman like Oswald would have had to have been the "luckiest" shooter alive to have made those killshots so quickly. Viewing him as the lone assassin defies all common sense. Plus, he had no motive.

Also, the Warren Commission clearly covered up a lot of evidence and several eye-witnesses were killed soon after or died of mysterious accidents.

Bottomline, the rightwing did it. Hoover and the black ops wing of the CIA who believed in BS like this. en.wikipedia.org
