San Harris's book, " A Letter to a Christian Nation" addresses that very point. He claims that Christians have talked of martyrdom for centuries and claims the beliefs are close to that of Islam. It's a short book and highly interesting. There are 171 reviews of the book on Amazon................interesting reading. :>) This recovering Roamin Catholic needs to go to the store!
