That's a shame, Ish. But, your experience is very different from mine. I first applied to the VA for educational bennis about '72. I applied directly to the VA Regional Office and got the checks directly from them. Then, about '74, I attended a school that did the claims forms, but again, the checks came to me directly, straight from our favorite Uncle Sam's Treasury.

Since your experience was a year before mine, it may be that procedures changed because of the jerk that scammed you. I hope he rots in hell.
