" Apparently you think those particular terrorists are important to your argument. I guess if they are captured are killed they won't be "free to continue to plot against us and to recruit and train new terrorists. " Hmmm... You know, Allen--I read somewhere many years ago that the first step to solving a problem is to KNOW that there is a solution. All the things we despise in this world and all the things we admire started with ideas and belief: teepee, tent, log cabin, mansion...they exist because of positive thought and positive action. It is easy to sit back and do nothing and to criticise everything and everybody without offering anything concrete to make the world a better place. It is much more challenging to get behind a vision for a better world and to map out a detailed "business" plan. Bill is offering some suggestions for change and you are being flippant and glib. Bill's plan may be roughly stated (as one would expect from an ad hoc internet interchange)...nevertheless, it is much superior to endless naysaying against every single post or suggestion for successfully conducting the struggle against terrorism. Terrorism is not a war that is "winnable". That is nonsense. Terrorism is simply a subset of primitive savagery, barbarism, and inhumanity. It will exist forever, so far as we know--and eternal vigilance and unceasing confrontation are our weapons and our hope. Monkey no see and monkey no do are the answers for some. But monkeys have not given us the blessings we enjoy in this world.
