mannilay -

thanks for the review.

i hear the sax a lot on his records
- i never knew it was him playing.

i'm sorry to hear that he's all business
and no heart. i remember seeing him in
the documentary 'the last waltz' - he
was something else. i guess you can't
do it forever.

that's exactly the way bob dylan was when
i saw him in vancouver last year. he
did not look at the audience, did not address
or acknowledge us and merely introduced his
band in a cursory manner and left the stage
promptly. its like fans have become a
necessary evil. too bad.

I had a woman sitting behind me who's singing sounded like a severely wounded moose.

.... i can only imagine :)

<I had a woman sitting behind me who's singing sounded like a severely wounded moose.>

I absolutely hate that! I had that happen at a James Taylor concert two years ago. There were two women singing all the lyrics loudly behind me during his acoustical set and going wooooohoooo! from time to time. I finally had had enough and turned around and asked them to be quiet so I could hear.....I recieved a small spattering of applause from the people around me.

I had heard Van had turned strange - that's too bad. As long as people keep paying, I suppose there is no motivation to change.
