Idiot! Nixon took over in 1968. 20,000+ more US troops had to get killed before he saw the writing on the wall. Nobody got us out of Vietnam. We got our asses kicked for invading a country that had done no harm to us. Just as is happening in Iraq now.

Nixon got us out of Vietnam 3-4 years after the war was totally hopeless and counter-productive. Nixon like Bush was too proud and arrogant to be willing to admit he was wrong, or that he would preside over "losing a war". But the war was lost by 1969, just as Bush's Iraq debacle has been lost for more than a yearb now. So time to wake up and quit sacrificing the lives of our troops for a hopeless cause. Bush-Cheney also owe this country a huge apology. Especially to the troops.
