Naw yields,
actually Ichy has been quite a vocal critic of Harper.. Like me he was/is fed up with our limited federal choices.. he just expresses it differently..

I guess you are not a trust or you'd change your name to lessyields :O)

Unfortunately I don't feel betrayed at all. I stopped buying Canadian stock 6 or 7 months ago. But a number of the seniors I know have lost 10's of thousands of dollars, so far mostly on paper. The worst was a lady whose husband is dead who lost 30% of her portfolio. Since is the second time in recent history the Canadian Government has tried to crash the market, I notice the American Stock markets are not subject to such foolish manipulation. Strangely enough much of the stock I owned 8 years ago, it is no longer possible to own. Ranger oil, MacMillan Bloedel, Stealco, Dofasco, the Canadian Breweries, Vincor, all lost as Canadian Companies, and it causes a problem because the profits are taxed in other jurisdictions. Canada has lost far more taxes because of takeovers than we have from Income Trusts. Soon we won't be able to support the bloated welfare cheques or the bloated pensions politicians have given themselves.
