But if we have the "right" under our constitution why can't others have that same under whatever documents they are governed by....seems hypocritical, doesn't it. You answered your own question. The US constitution only applies to US citizens. We set the process and supervised the process to write the Iraqi constitution....assuming they don't why can't they include their version of the rights you claim under our Second Amendment. And if they have such rights, and I believe they do, why are conducting house to house searches looking for weapons..?? I'm not saying that Iraqis have a right to bear arms under the US constitution. Their rights would be dictated by their own constitution. I understand that the US had a hand in developing the Iraqi constitution, but personally I'm not familiar with it. In Iraq many things do not make sense. Huge weapons dumps went unprotected for years, while they were looted by both friend and foe alike. Marines go on patrol to find weapons as well. While it's accepted for just about any Iraqi to have an AK47 or other weapon for personal protection. The main law in Iraq is the law of chaos. Iraq didn't attack the security of the US as you say, so why are actively disarming them...? Because of a combination of lies, half truths, bad intel, Chalabi intel, neocon agenda and false linkage to Al Qaeda. We are warring in Iraq, but I'm not sure if we are doing a great job of disarming them.
