Scary to think there are fish this size swimming in fresh waters. This sturgeon weighed over 1,000lbs (455 kg) and measured 11'1" (3, 38 m) in length. It was 56" (1, 42 m) in girth. It took four guys over six and one half hours (taking turns)to reel it in. It was caught at the mouth of the Rainy River, which feeds "Lake of the Woods", on the border of Northern Minnesota and Canada.
