Yes, but since that is my own field, I realise that perhaps I'm biased.

What I do find very interesting is that there is a fairly new field of biology called Systems Biology, which looks to apply the concepts of feedback control theory (as well as others) to the study of biological systems.

Unfortunately, many people fail to realise the difference between a complex system and its pieces. The British physicist, Roger Penrose, wrote an entire book while laboring under this delusion. He argues that there must be some as yet unknown fundamental physical basis for human thought, since he can't figure out how it works. LOL! Our understanding of biological systems functioning is just beginning IMO. The related field of evo-devo and development in general is another example.
