Watch the language, pal. I suppose the APPL thread is the only place on SI where nobody can mention another stock, even if it is the only other tech stock that has been going up over the last year? APPL and GOOG are the momentum trading darlings of wall street, nobody gets more favorable press than those two. The same traders are all piled into BOTH of those companies.

Oh wait, people mention other stocks here all the time. Face it- you just don't like anyone who has a bearish opinion on Apple, so instead of hitting the ignore button you want REVENGE. How dare someone speak out against your dear Apple?

So, to ask bluntly, is there any chance at all that someone will take the moderator job and kick the off topic asshole out of here?

Michael,

I read a lot, post little. But, I am very much for your idea. Without it, I am likely to stop visiting this board. I also believe that there are many potential valuable contributers (Bull or Bear) that visit and don't stick around because of the problem poster you speak of.

Michal -

When this was first proposed, and a few people nominated me, I sent a PM to SI Admin Dave. I told him I'd be willing to take the job. He responded that he wanted to see who else volunteered before making a selection, and that he'd get back to me.

It seemed to me, from Dave's public comment on the subject on this thread, that he didn't seem to feel there was a real need for a moderator.

I doubt that Dave monitors this thread, so if you really want a moderator, the quickest way to get one is to send him a private message.

FYI, I'd be just as happy not to have the job, since I'm sure it's a thankless task. But if nominated, I will run, and if elected, I will serve.
