I know two people personally who didn't vote, because they had just gotten off work, and when they heard Gore had already won Florida, he didn't bother going to the polls... It was also the Panhandle where many of the military live, and they tried to not count the votes from the Military because they didn't get their votes in on time...of course they failed to mention they were out at sea on US carriers or in foreign lands and the mail hadn't been picked up on purpose. The democrats knew most of the military voted Republican.
