The study was about the media and how it presents stories. Did you even read it? It skewed 88% Dem/Liberal and 12% Republican ON PURPOSE. The theory was that even the moderate/liberal side of the spectrum could be influenced to the negative by biased reporting by the media.

The media married -- and the study skewed to the well educated as well -- race with looting and the like. This isn't a survey done in a vacuum so one has to wonder what its purpose was.

It's a study OF THE MEDIA not of Dems. In addition to which the Dem-bashing conclusion you cited isn't even a conclusion reached by the study in the first place:

"The data does not permit us to assess whether the significant reduction in the amount and length of financial assistance in the looting condition is attributable to racial cues per se"
