You're lying again. The GOP base is not energized. Look at any poll and you'll only see about 25% who strongly support Bush. The rest are nauseous or disapprove. Many Repubs may hold their noses and vote GOP but very few people are happy with Bush-Cheney, Iraq or theis corrupt-corrupt congress. In fact the GOP congress has an approval rating about as high as Saddam Hussein. Something like 13%. It's just awful. Cheney also has approvals which are very-very low, down around 19%.

Plus the two gay scandals must have de-energized religious radical voters. How could any of them say they are happy with the GOP a straight face? Then the Military Times calling on voters to force Bush to remove Rumsfeld (and by connection, Cheney).
