That really only shows that you don't understand it. Almost nothing in the real world is really black and white. There are disturbing shades of grey everywhere. I know it's tough to consider them. It takes a hell of a lot more effort and thought. But it's the only way to deal with the world as it is, and not as we would wish it to be.

Your assumptions about what people who for for Democrats will be thinking are incorrect, by the way. You might try actually talking to and listening to some Democrats once in a while.

By the way, if the result is close, it will prove as much as Dubya's 2% margin of victory in 2004 proved. Everybody seemed to think that was a landslide. Of course, since nearly 52% of the people had voted for other candidates in 2000, it's easy to see why having an actual plurality was exciting.
