Well, what WAS the "sexual misconduct"? Do YOU know?

It was freaky gay butt-sex fueled by meth!

But what's really funny is your willingness to believe the exaggerated claims, despite the fact that the accuser failed a lie detector test. I guess it isn't enough for you to see a religious leader merely tempted by gay sex. For you, it's all the way or nothing. The hedonistic version of "black-n-white" ...

Haggard claims he got a massage. Do you understand that a massage is a euphemism for sex in the prostitution world? I highly doubt that the BOD of the church would have fired its founder if all he did was get a massage and throw out some drugs. Haggard was a popular minister with WH connections. You try to keep those kinds of people whenever possible. In this case, the situation was so bad it wasn't possible. Its very likely that Haggard has been having gay sex for some time and probably is addicted to meth.

What's amazing is that you would believe a word Rev Haggard says after he clearly lied three times in a row. These kind of closet cases are long-term sexual deviants. They don't just try it a few times, they're addicts. Also, if you know anything about the televangelist types, a good number of them are complete conmen out to bilk their congregations, and their pious behavior in public is just an act.

Bottomline, what this is about is the fact that our founding fathers instituted separation of church and state for a very good reason. The religious right should butt out of politics, and the GOP should quit pretending they're pious and virtuous. Both groups have become highly corrupt and dishonest and it's severely damaging the quality of our American democracy.

re: Here's what I think. Rev. Haggard was tempted by the gay man in several ways, and even bought drugs from him. Whether he used them or not is irrelevant, since it's bad enough he bought 'em in the first place.

But when the gay guy was given the cold shoulder later on, he decided to take revenge by going public with an exaggerated version of the events that took place. Some of it is true, but a lot of it is B.S. The part that is true was enough to get Rev. Haggard to step down. The part that is bogus, however, is just the gay guy trying to get his 15 minutes of fame, much like Corey Clark claiming that he had sex with Paula Abdul.

Your denial is hysterical. Almost hard to comprehend. So irrational.

Might be an interesting experiment for you to judge people on their action rather than their rhetoric. Like the rest of us.

Don't want to upset your world. Just spend one day: actions not rhetoric.

Hi,

I guess it isn't enough for you to see a religious leader merely tempted by gay sex

You are saying Haggard is a victim of a guy trying to get his "15 minutes of fame". Please tell me you are just trying to get a reaction here and that was not a serious post.

He has never smoked meth in his life, but he bought it to use it, but he then changed his mind because it was wrong. LOL, I think OJ Simpson is more honest than Haggard.
