I recently saw on TV that some Filipinos were offered US citizenship and education and job opportunities if they enlisted and served their full term in the army, presumably in Iraq. America is desperate for soldiers at this time!

Last I heard was that the vast majority of American soldiers have had little or no basic education. No wonder disgraceful and disgusting episodes like Abu Ghraib & etc. happened! THis reminds me of the Japanese army which was largely constituted from uneducated and 'uncivilized' peasants that perpetrated all manner of atrocities in China and S. E. Asia from the mid-1930s to the early-1940s. BTW, the army commanders and the Japanese secret police (Kempetai) were drawn largely from the illegitimate sons of the Japanese aristocracy.

If you have an argument with the data, tell it to the Marines...it's their data.

I don't have a problem with the data as much as I have a problem with your distortion of their data. The Marines' data actually indicates 3.24% to 8.68% not .38% as I have pointed out.

It still seems low, but I'm not really challenging it.
