What both guys are saying is that if can't see that Kerry was attempting a put down of Bush, you are stupid as Bush is saying. Then both guys are wrong, because its not clear, esp. given Kerry's other comments in his past, that he wasn't disparaging the troops. More importantly whatever he was attempting he did in fact disparage the troops. If it was unintentional then he should apologize for what he said, not put out a fake apology for how other people understood or portrayed what he said.
