And talk about spinning and obfuscating.

You can talk about it, but its not what I'm doing.

The Administration made it quite clear that they believed there were huge stockpiles of WMDs in Iraq.

Which is not inconsistent with my statement - "Because of concerns about WMD does not equal because of current large stockpiles of WMD. And even more latent WMD concerns were not the only reason, just the number one reason."

Now you attempt to revise history by saying our self defense claim was based on the possibility that Saddam could produce WMDs at some point.

No revision of history. Both concerns were active. The future concerns were more about nukes, or highly effective weaponized bio agents. The belief about stockpiles was large chem stockpiles and maybe somewhat less effective bio agents. The future concern is a more severe worry.

I believe that attacking another country because you think they MIGHT do you harm cannot be justified as self defense.

Iraq attacked Kuwait. We refrained from taking out Saddam then but insisted on full compliance with a number of restrictions. Saddam did not give full compliance.

If you disarm a person who made a threat or attack with a deadly weapon, and they agree that they won't obtain or use a deadly weapon again if you let them live, and then they plot to get a weapon, stopping them is legitimately seen as a defensive action. In cases of individuals it would usually be a matter for the police, but there is no world police.
