Thanks for the responses on platinum stocks.

I haven't found any new info on the ETF, but I found one mention of something else that could impact the price:

0556 GMT [Dow Jones] HSBC's James Steel tips platinum to remain "buoyant" amid supply concerns, with worries over possible interruption in platinum exports from Russia's OAO Norilsk Nickel possibly behind platinum's surge at end of last week; notes market talk a platinum ETF may soon be launched also a factor: with supply/demand fundamentals tight, "a platinum ETF, even if only partially successful, could be sufficient to absorb above ground stock that the mining industry cannot replace easily or quickly."
