The wife's theory on the "polls tightening" over the last couple of days, is that the pollsters are covering their butts and that there never was as big of a spread as reported in earlier results. She feels they are trying to salvage a bit of credibility so they don't look like fools on "report card" day. That might be a bit too cynical, but I don't personally believe the Dems ever had a double digit lead during this election cycle.....we will know pretty soon. We are only about 13 hours away from the start of full blast campaigning for 08...lucky us...;>)
