Why do so few including the Dems understand that the tax cuts on the federal level are a recipe for disaster... Not sure where this disconnect from reality originates. Some blame has to go to the education process that fails to convey the idea that taxes and government are necessary to our system. Then when you have a substantial portion of the "leadership" spouting on the evils of taxation, in any form, the idea has to gain widespread acceptance. Of course lifelong exposure to a crooked, politically manipulated system of taxation that reeks of cronyism and favoritism will also erode general acceptance of any form of taxation.
