I can never get used to the way mining stocks hit a wall once they firm up their resource and start to plan for actual mining.

I think that's a generalization that is far from always true. A perfect example is SSRI. They haven't produced an ounce yet but production isn't far off.

I've found trading most of these stocks isn't worth it. Not only are taxes far higher, you often get left behind.

That's not to say I haven't traded at all, but I have a full core position that I'm basically leaving alone.

It may not be for everyone, but it works well for me.

ABX has acquired 22.5% of NG's shares.

I wish NG hadn't dropped their poison pill.

They've extended their offer for another two weeks.
