My statement was correct. Your link blames Republicans for spending when a Republican was president even if the Dems controlled congress.

Fiscal responsibility seems to be abandoned by both parties. The Republicans used to push for less spending when they where mostly out of power. They briefly pushed for it when they controlled congress but not the White House. Now Bush and many Republicans in congress do no more than pay it lip service. Sometimes they don't even do that. OTOH the Democrats want to spend more not less.
