"This guy seems like a 3rd party/libertarian dream? Hes already a Congressman from Texas and seems credible. Whats holding him back, or whats holding his own party leadership, or the libertarians from pushing him for a Presidential candidate?"

Precisely because he is honest, there is no money to be made in promoting his candidacy. Remember the basic precepts of all political, indeed, all human, organizations:

1. Bucks for buddies.
2. Special rules for special people.
3. All the goodies go to the top.

If you want to be Prez, regardless of party affiliation, you have to sell out to the big money boyz who will finance you. Just the way it is.

Ron,

I like Ron Paul ten times more than any other politian.

As for higher office, I do not think it is out of the question, but the time has to be right to get the kind of grassroots support someone like a Ron Paul will need.

Paul's nickname is Dr. No, for he will vote against anything that is unconstitutional.

Ron Paul in 2012. He is the ONLY guy I will pound the pavement for. And if he runs, I will pound relentlessly. I will bring 2500 votes to him, because I believe that people can be convinced to support an honest man who really has their best intentions at heart.

You want to know the horrible truth Ron???

It has been quoted that EVERYONE asks Ron Paul to run for at least Governor of Texas or President Of the USA!

I believe his direct quote to close associates is "they would kill him if he did that".

Why do you TRULY think Ross Perot "dropped out" of the Presidential race when he was leading in the polls between himself and CIA#1 Bush and CIA#2 Clinton????????

Think about it.....real hard now..... and don't believe the propaganda the major media told us about Perot dropping out when he was in the lead.

It truly is a sad state of affairs.

Do you seriously think anyone who thinks like Paul would be supported within this Republican party?
