LOL! I know exactly what you mean. It's a strange phenomenon. My wife likes interior decorating in the Victorian style. She's definitely not gay. My BIL became a production manager in a plant that makes high end shock absorbers. He specializes in Just In Time inventory control and is a master at it. Whenever the plant gets into a pinch, it's not because the parts aren't there for them. I personally wish this issue would go behind closed doors so we could just forget about it and go on with our lives. I've known a few lesbians, but I really don't care to share in their private lives, nor they (or anybody)in mine. I don't think I've ever met a gay man that I was aware of, and my unawareness is just fine as far as I'm concerned.
