Six Muslim extremist suspects arrested in the Netherlands (recruiting fighters for Iraq)

Five men and one woman have been arrested in the Dutch city of Rotterdam on suspicion of recruiting Islamic extremist fighters. It is thought some of the suspects were involved in procuring false travel documents for journeys to Iraq.

The investigation into the affair started when three young men from The Hague travelled to Azerbaijan. They claimed it was for a holiday, but they were suspected of being in contact with an extremist Muslim network. Detectives are investigating whether the six detainees can be charged with forming a criminal terrorist organisation.
