Could be, I don't know. But for some reason, Syria was taken off the "verbal attack schedule" right after the fall of Iraq, and if I recall correctly, they weren't even listed on Bush's "Axis of Evil" list in his State of the Union speech in'04(?).

I've been following the conversation, so I have an idea of what different folks are saying.

The "Axis of Evil" speech, by the way, was actually the 2002 State of the Union address. It's true that Syria didn't make the cut then. Thus far, Bush hasn't seen fit to amend the list.
