When a computer starts misbehaving the best solution is to reload the Operating System. You can buy an external USB hard drive with backup software. Backup your whole computer to it.

Verify that you have all of the software installation disks you will need to reload programs. Put in the Windows disk that came with your computer and do a complete reload. Reload only the software you need.

Retrieve files that you want from the usb hard drive.

Or, pay someone to do this for you.
