Elmat,

Thank you very much for your informative message!

Any other questions?
What ?s? No, I did not have any ?s in this case. I just tried to engage in some discussion in a constructive way. The Brits (HSBC) are still making a killing being one of the three free printers of HK$, I did not see them leaving at all.

HK is a window of confounded actions. As long as China keeps HK as it is, it will always be it. When China does change its way, there will be little impact on HK's way as situation would be then.

Again, your informative message is intriguing!

Arran

Economy escape valves / playgrounds

For the US, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, other Carribean Islands, and to a small degree, Mexico.

For the UK, Island of Jersey, Sark , Mann, Guernsey, Gibralter and Switzerland.

For Western Europe, Monaco (a sunny place for shady people), Luxembourg, Litchenstein, and traditionally, Switzerland.

The Russians also like Cyprus.

Lebanon used to have this function for much of the Middle East.

Where does African hot money go ? Still to Switzerland ?

Didn't Uraguay also serve this function for Argentina and Brazil ?

And where does hot money from India go ? Goa ? Dubai ? Singapore ?
