Will it be at the Capital Markets day or will we have to wait until '07? >> That's a good question to which we can only guess. Capital Markets Day (where they usually don't launch product) is being held in Amsterdam this year on November 28 and 29. It overlaps, however, this year with NokiaWorld (November 29 and 30 and also in Amsterdam). The event was formerly called Nokia Mobility Conference (NMC), and is geared to a different audience and it features 2 days of webcasted seminars and historically serves as a launchpad for key Nokia products that will deliver in H1 of the upcoming year.nokia.com We'll certainly see new products unleashed at NokiaWorld on the 29th. Nokia goes all out for this event. Possibly because they will have both financial analysts, the wireless press, operators, developers, media houses, and content owners, this will be where we will really see the curtain pulled back. I suspect we'll also see new product released in conjunction with the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona February 10 to 15, but possibly (probably) at a private event ahead of the Congress. This would be the appropriate venue for HSDPA products from both Multimedia and Enterprise Solutions (the S60 Communicator?). Then there is CTIA Wireless (March 27-29) at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Nokia REALLY needs to do something special for the Americas. And finally perhaps another 'Nokia Open Studio' in the spring. Lots of opportunity. One thing I don't want to see is long lead-time associated with the launch of a key product, but I hope they launch a few key products at NokiaWorld that will really create a buzz. Nokia could use it and so could the sector. The long awaited mid-range thinphones could, however, push out till Q1. Best, - Eric -
