Don't these fools realize what we would do if they hit us here? ........... Hamas political wing immediately distanced itself from that military wing's statement. This is a familiar tactic (and sometimes honest conundrum) To respond would not be easy. In the end, they are a bunch of dirt poor people living in slums. What can you do? Bomb them wholesale? Anyway, their leaders would be probably hiding out in Paris... until things cool down. That said, I can see that if the trends of the past several years continue, sooner or later there may be enough anger out there for total wars -- WWII style, when civilians are no longer spared - but may actually be targets. Scary thought. But that seems to be the direction.

Sure they do, you will strike back at somebody, start a war, lose it, and then do your best to make the country you attacked 3 times better than it was before the attack. The appropriate action is to cut all money going to Palestine, and to increase aid to israel. Then to make make any terrorist act, or aiding or abetting a terrorist act a death penalty offence with a measured time period (60 days) between conviction and the final appeal. Smuggling people into the US should be a one time event, for both parties. Then the US needs to have a national identity card based on either DNA or fingerprints. And every citizen should have one.
